.OH, CANADA

That's right friends and family! I'm finally getting my Permanent Residence in Canada!!

I'm a "landed immigrant"

I had no idea how difficult and expensive this would be when Air and I started working on my paperwork last year in June... It's taken over a year to get this over with!

I can finally work, get medical coverage, and pay taxes! WOO!
{funny, those all happen to be things that I don't really like}

Ever since this post, Air has been begging me to let you know that I love Canada too.
So here you go; a few things that I love about Canada:

all Mountain Dew is caffeine free

the summer sun is up until 11pm

there's so much cultural diversity here it feels like I'm somewhere really exotic

poutine fries

Air's awesome family

it's just plain beautiful!

They call this a "touque":
They call these 'buns', it's only a 'roll' if it's rolled like a cinnamon roll:

They spell this 'cheque' instead of 'check':

And sometimes this happens:

(I did take this picture, but I don't think that's really beer... is it?)

So come and visit us! .............YES YOU!

Ok?

.Anniversary the 1st

Welp, we've been married for a year now!
It's gone by very quickly to be honest; but it's been absolutely wonderful to be married to my man.
I still love him a lot..... and so much more.

For our Anniversary we were on the road to Utah, so we stopped in Helena, Montana... did lots of fun sight-seeing and shopping at the farmers market
We stopped in some other new and strange places too...

We made it all the way to Logan, UT... After we visited my brother Jordan's family, we ate at
The Bluebird

And we stayed at the Anniversary Inn... it was awesome!
We were in the King Arthur's Castle suite...

The next day we got to my parent's house and ate our year-old top layer

It was great.
It will be a huge challenge to top that Anniversary next year!

.The Lion King

We went to see Broadway Across America/Canada's The Lion King a few weeks ago with our friend 'Cabbage'.
yes I took pictures inside the theater... shhhhhh!

I actually sent them this review for their website (since they sent me an email requesting it):

"I absolutely loved this show, it was fantastic! The stage was really cool and all of the sets were very dynamic. My favorite part: THE HUGE ELEPHANTS!! My second favorite part: Anytime Mufasa spoke or sang anything! His voice was incredible!!
There were a few major flaws with the second act, in mine and my husband's opinions. First - Scar's character wasn't true to the movie. When he was the King he started to feel sad that nobody liked him, he was hallucinating that Mufasa was all around him, and he started to come on to Nala (causing her to leave). That is not the Scar that I know. I think that his personality would have enjoyed having all the power and making everyone miserable. He wasn't supposed to be whiny and sad. Ever.

My only other problem with the musical was the fact that they didn't sing the song '
In The Jungle' ...NOOO!!"

Anyway, I really wanted to know if any of you have gone to this musical and what you thought of it? I wonder if they do it differently in other cities, with different actors, etc.

Anyone? Anyone?

.the grove of cherries, where the lake is cold

We went even further up North this weekend for an air show

It was a pretty cloudy day, but we still enjoyed it!
{It didn't hurt that we had VIP passes, got free food and got to see the show right on the beach}

Cherry Grove is a very special place for Air and his family. They lived there for years when Air's parents were just married with really little kids. Lots of Air's cousins and aunts and uncles are still there.

They are such awesome people!

We were staying at Air's Auntie Tracey's home... such a beautiful place!

We got to have some fun boating and camping at Cold Lake with Air's family too.
this is at French Bay

It was a really great, no-stress weekend trip. Nothing like being out in the country...

We're off to Utah in a few days now! Can't wait!
