.UTopia part 1

It's hard to believe we’re already back from our yearly visit to Utah…. it went by way too fast. We were just so busy having fun the whole time!

Our trip began out in the country in the beautiful city of Kamas, where we stayed with my brother Seth's family for a few days. They are so much fun!

We got to have our traditional sharing party! My brother Jordan's family and my sister Elisa came out for the weekend too! It was definitely a party.

Seth, Jordan, Elisa and I established sharing parties when we were very young. Basically everyone brings something to share with everyone else and we just play all night. We’ve loved keeping the tradition alive as adults with families too. It’s the best.

-Jordan and Jo shared chocolate milk and HUGE marshmallows for s'mores.

-Seth and Linda shared a movie on their projector with popcorn. Plus their home and all of our meals!

-Elisa shared her vegan salad.

-Aaron and I shared a fun game.

-AND all the kids shared their talent; they performed plays for us. hehe

The next morning we all went to Jordanelle Reservoir for a nice hike before lunch. It was so warm and sunny! Perfect day.

It was such an awesome time, and then that night we got to have even more fun with Seth and Linda at a movie and dinner. I love my family!!!

.29 weeks

I was lucky enough to be at my own baby shower this week! Happy day!

Here I am in my third trimester and I thought I'd be the lucky one who wouldn't need to use the restroom every 30 seconds. I was doing really well! In fact, driving down here we didn't have to make one single extra bathroom stop! Nice!

Things have changed in the last week...

We'll be leaving a day earlier now, just to be sure we have time to stop as much as I need! But you know, we need to get home and get back to work on our house.

We only have a few more months before baby arrives!!! We can't WAIT!

.Mothers in My Family

It's so fun to see pictures of all my big sisters carrying me around when I was little…

I had more Moms growing up than anyone I know. For that reason alone, I was spoiled.

My family is full of glorious, loving, beautiful mothers.

You can tell they're doing it right by looking at their children.

And by walking into their homes.

I'm so lucky to be a witness to their work as mothers.

As the youngest of them all, I've been blessed by their motherlyness as well.

They've all taken care of me.

At times in my life I find myself thinking things like, 'Would Gwen do this?'
or 'Wouldn't Mom be cooking dinner by now?'

or 'If I were Megan, this would be clean and organized!'

or 'I bet Linda would have something great planned today.'

And then I know that their examples are influencing me for better.

So thank you mothers for being my mothers! I love you all so much!

Ok, so you've noticed I haven't been writing about the house yet.

I haven’t really had a minute of free time since our possession date!

Plus, to be honest, whenever I think about our house lately I get a little flustered.

It's stressing me out!

We need a break.

We'll be in Utah for the next couple of weeks visiting with our family and friends!

I can't wait to get there and have some FUN!
The drive, however, will be a great pregnancy adventure to be sure!

It will be a bit difficult to leave our house in the condition it's in.

But poor Air hasn't had a single day off work since last summer.

...and that's including weekends, guys. Oh the insanity!

And when we're back, I promise I will (eventually) post all about our (huge) renovation.

.27 weeks and moving out

This weekend I'll hit 27 weeks!

My little BOY is about 14 inches long! This is going by so fast.

Oh yeah, and we’re getting all boxed up and moving about 10 blocks away into a house that also happens to be a construction zone.

Packing is so hard!!!

Sadly, this all means that this pregnancy photo may be the very last one we get in this same little spot of our apartment.

And being the perfectionist/obsessive person that I am, it's a little difficult to give up!
