Alice doesn’t know this yet, but about a week before she was born, she got showered with some awesome gifts from some awesome people at a lovely pink shower thrown by her sweet Grandma Gusa.
It was so much fun.
Aaron and I are so incredibly grateful and humbled at the generosity of the people who love us. We’ve received so many greatly needed things for Alice, I can’t tell you how big of a blessing it’s been for us.
I am sending thank you’s in the mail, but I really wanted to mention as many of you as possible who we are so thankful to. This last week we feel like we’ve received an outpouring of blessings through these people and I can’t say enough how blessed we are to know you!
Air’s Mom and Dad, my Mom and Dad, Gwen and Jason, Adam and Summer(!), Andrea, Kaitlin, Tamera, Tara, Tessa, Tiana, Grandma Macdonald, Tracey and family, Ashley, Justine, Amelia and Stage, Shalene, Rachel, Alexis and Jordan.
We sure love you.
And Aaron’s Mom pointed out that the final and greatest gift I’d be receiving was the one right there inside that big round belly. She put a bow on it. I made a weird face, but she was certainly right.↓↓↓
We played some hilarious games.
First game was the reason everyone has clothes pins on them. We had three words we weren’t allowed to say (labor, Mom and baby), if someone caught you saying a word they’d get one of your pins. I was terrible at this game! haha
Second game everyone had to guess how big around my belly was. Everyone cut a piece of ribbon to as long as they thought it would be. Although I didn’t play this game, I was terrible at it too because almost everyone guessed I was way bigger than I was! Ahh!↓↓↓
The last game was hilarious as well. Called tinkle in a jar? Everyone had to race to blow up a balloon, put it in her shirt, put a coin between her knees and then run and drop it into a jar on the floor. Sooooo funny to watch!↓↓↓
↓↓↓Aunt Tracey wasn’t the overall winner, but she was satisfied enough just to have beat her sister. haha↓↓↓
↓↓↓And now we all know that Tessa makes a really cute pregnant girl.↓↓↓
Thank you so much, Mom/Grandma Gusa, for throwing this adorable shower and so much more…
Love you always.
