.Easter in Crossfield

This Easter weekend was a blast! We went down to Air's parents in Crossfield and went to the zoo on Saturday with the whole family!

We all take coloring eggs very seriously...

(Chuck Norris doing some plumbing)

On Easter we had church at 8 AM!!! Then we hung out on the deck and played a fun game that Air's Dad found. We had an amazing turkey dinner and then we went to the park while the Easter bunny came and set up an egg hunt for us. TONS of candy, TONS of family, TONS of fun!
(lemon-head!! Sadly, this is the only pic we took on Sunday...)

Of course through all of the fun we remember the true meaning behind Easter. I can't describe how grateful I am for what Christ suffered for us. He walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone so we don't have to. I will never forget that. We really loved Conference last weekend!!! My absolute favorite thing from it was when President Monson said:
Isn't that so true.... If we have faith then our lives will be bright and full no matter what is happening to the economy or in the world around us. I feel very blessed to know that.

.look-a-like

I've been watching this show Look-A-Like lately. It's pretty funny! As long as I've known Air he's been trying to convince me that I look like Mandy Moore... I was inclined to disagree until he pulled this picture up and put me juxtaposition with it. And now I have to admit that if there is one angle, on one picture, of one actress that looks remotely like me... it's this one:

And since I'm admitting to things I thought it only fair that Air also gets exposed:

As Kevin Bacon. hahaha - This is a pretty old picture. Crazy tho, huh?

.PROjects

Hey guys, I thought I'd put up a post with some of my silly little projects from the last few months!!
1. This macaroni casserole is representing the massive storm of cooking that Air and me have been brewing up in our awesome kitchen! I can't believe it - but I've actually been learning to cook! And I kinda like it! :) Air is really good, and he's been teaching me everything he knows. It's great!!

(in case my fam is wondering - Yes, this is Heb's recipe!)

2. Our huge mantle was looking pretty naked... so I put together this grassy decor to go up there. I'm not sure if anyone likes it but me...
but I like it......... A LOT

3. The next project was actually an Enrichment activity. I know that EVERYONE has one of these vinyl lettering ma-jigs in their home...... but...... now I have one too? haha
(I put this quote because it's my fav primary song to play)

4. And here is the biggest project from the last few weeks! Since I'm on the enrichment committee I was in charge of decorations and games for our big RS Birthday enrichment last week. Our theme was Celebrate your "purse"onality... and.... it was AWESOME!! I made these purses out of paper for the centerpieces. Then we gave them out with prizes inside for the games.
While I was sewing these (oh yeah, I sew paper now), I had a lot of fun because I was watching one of my favorite BBC movies: North and South.... like Pride and Prejudice it's a 4-part series, and to me, still doesn't ever seem long enough!! haha
(by the way, if you are also a fan of this type of movie I have some other suggestions for you to see!)

We had a really good night! Alana planned a really yummy meal and Kari's talk and all the ladies who gave their own stories were really sweet. The purse scavenger hunt was hilarious!! I can't believe the things that ladies have in their purses sometimes... baha!

.Speaking of creepy

We pretty much spent the day shopping at Ikea yesterday... It was fun... Until we were looking at trash cans and found THIS!!!!!
Oh, the terrible world we live in where people will simply leave their babies in trash cans to beg for food!!!

Ok...... well...... Air actually helped the baby write the sign...... and get into the can.... but it was still an incredible, horrible thing to see once it was finished. Whoever walks past that trash can at Ikea next will be pretty horrified at least. I imagine it will be pretty eye opening for that individual... whomever they may be... surely they will gain a new understanding of the cruelty of our society. You know, maybe this will lead that individual toward working to make a difference in the World. Gosh, this is sure making me feel better about myself for doing that. I am making a difference.

I know, it's kinda creepy right? I don't really see a resemblance either... Oh well, just as I've always strongly believed:
Computers are ALWAYS right.
