.scouting it out
At our ward fund raiser dinner last spring I auctioned off a family photo shoot (because, why not) and a bunch of families bid on it. The Ord’s had the final bid for $(insert amount here?). I was super excited to take their pictures but then our awesome lens broke (When I dropped it on cement. Who’da thunk). It FINALLY got repaired and shipped back a few weeks ago so we booked our shoot with the Ord’s, and it went pretty well (I’d post pictures, but some people might not like their pictures plastered on my blog).
The evening before the shoot, Air and I went out to the Strathcona farmer’s market for a date night to scout out our location (We are so pro). We had a nice night and took some fun pictures that I thought I’d share.

.Glacier National
We got to take a day trip through Glacier National Park with Aaron’s family. We met up with them in Helena Montana and stayed the night in a hotel. In the morning we were off to Glacier. Air and I have a picture in this post from a few years ago in this exact spot ↑↑↑ We love that we finally have our boy with us on these trips.
↓↓↓We stopped at this huge beautiful dam before we got into the park. Wow, breathtaking↓↓↓
↓↓↓Tessa and Tiana took turns riding with us all day, and we had walkie-talkies to communicate between cars.↓↓↓
I sat in the back a lot since Ames decided to kibosh his nap schedule for the day.
↓↓↓Here’s his mirror and his baby shows—his two favorite things to look at besides the trees and mountains out the window. He loved that too↓↓↓
↓↓↓We stopped at some waterfalls and hikes↓↓↓
↓↓↓We love the winding roads that go up up up the side of the mountain. Its exciting to see the enormous cliff right beside your car with the breathtaking views↓↓↓
↓↓↓everyone thought that these tree roots looked like Tiana’s curly hair↓↓↓
↓↓↓This is what happens when you tell Air and his Dad to hold hands for a picture↓↓↓
↓↓↓This is our favorite waterfall on the “Going to the Sun” road, you drive right over it on this little bridge↓↓↓
↓↓↓goldfish were a life saver on these long road trips and I love Amesy’s chubby legs↓↓↓
We had so much fun, so glad that Aaron’s family was in Montana at the same time as us. We made it to Lethbridge that evening and stayed in a ghetto hotel room that we had booked online for cheap. It was a little scary, but just one night didn’t hurt us. It definitely made us appreciate our own home more when we arrived here the next night. In a way, it’s nice being home again isn't it.
