.13 weeks

Another week in, and another week’s worth of waist.

Last week I had to laugh when I read comments that I looked thin?

Believe me, I am not in the least bit thin!

I look huge in this week's pictures,

but it’s probably mostly due to the insane birthday cake I ate last night... hmm

I am still sick, but maybe dealing with it a bit better? Or trying to?

I’m planning on feeling a lot better real soon!

.12 week lime

Happy to be twelve weeks along right now!

Also happy to be housing a baby the size of a lime.

Almost through the first trimester!

My waist is getting thick, although I haven't gained any weight?

I don't look much different, but I'll certainly let you watch me grow.

I feel that is my duty as a blog-keeper.

Strange thing, this whole 'being pregnant' thing… I like it.

.January of my affliction

Air enjoying a carwash thoroughly. Costco selling muffin-tops. Carbon got all new tires thanks to a blow-out.

During the final days of every year I see January coming over the horizon. I try to ignore its eminence as we play and enjoy the holiday season. Once that's done I enjoy the first while as we take down the decorations and see the house clean again. I am determined to make the best of the rest of winter.

But then, here it is again. And here it stays. I admit it--I have a January funk. I've been feeling quite ill on top of it this year. And fat. I can't seem to sleep enough lately. Passing the time with sleep is my current trick.

You know, sometimes in life the holidays will end and the cold winter days will be all that's left for a while. But I really shouldn't let that bring me down. (Next year how bout? *wink)

For now, I look forward to being done with this first trimester business. And then I'll be spending all of my time dancing and exercising. I just know it. (And eating some meat perhaps? *wink)

I also look forward to Air's birthday coming up! What to do... what to get him... eek! I love that Air.

You're only the size of a grape,

but I can't even believe you're that big.

I'm almost positive I've never been happier

to have a grape in my tummy in my life.

I've only had you for almost 10 weeks,

and already I feel like I've known you

and been expecting you for forever.

We've waited for you

The past month of your and my life

together has been rough.

I've been sick and nauseous every minute.

You've given me a strange diet.

I've actually lost weight instead of gained.

But I don't even mind,

because I'd already do anything for you.

And I know that this is for your good.

And mine.

At our last doctor's appointment we

saw the first glimpse of you.

We heard your fast little heartbeat.

Tears filled our eyes
and joy filled our hearts.

You're alive! You're coming!

We can't wait.
