I love these things! We went on Friday with our friends Mr. and Mrs. Diaz who are building a house and moving away from us in a few short months.

And now I give you a list of a few product demonstrations that had us sold!

(but not really sold, since we didn’t actually buy them)

#1 Woll titanium pots and pans; expensive, but worth it?

#2 The incredible V-Slicer; I dislike chopping veggies.

#3 Fast Wax; clean and wax your car at once. Might improve our sandblasted windshield?

#4 Artificial grass; looks totally real and never needs to be mowed (obviously). Baby Diaz enjoyed it!

#5 Vita-mix; cool, but JUST a little on the big/bulky side of the blender world.

.snow. sleepy. disappointment. generosity.

Hey, amamber me? Here's what we've been up to for the past few weeks.


1. Snow still. It's still snowing/snowed-on and frozen here in Edmonton... We've accepted that this is our Spring weather since it doesn't appear to be going anywhere. These are the conditions that created the miracle of this icicle standing straight up, out in the middle of a parking lot.

Air couldn't resist kicking it down, of course.

2. Tired. I don't know if it was the wedding or the time change, but I have been exhausted every minute of every day lately. I'm so glad to get a break from Seminary for spring break this week. I can sleep in a little past 5am for a few days!

WooHoo!
3. Disappointment. If you ever really REALLY want to get my hopes up, simply tell me that Target is actually coming up to Canada... and then a little while later I'll pass by this new store, but then realize that it's not affiliated with the American Target in any way, shape, or form.

Lame.
4. Generosity. I complimented Jadey's Grandma at the wedding because she was wearing a little owl pin on her sweater. I said, "I love owls!". A few days later we went to a family dinner for 'wedding leftovers' and to see Tam&Jadey open their gifts, she came and handed me a little gold gift box. I opened it and of course found the owl pin. It's adorable. She is so generous. I said, "Are you sure you want to give this to me??" ...she told me that its something to remember her by.

How sweet. I could learn a lot from her.

Has this weekend already come and gone? I mean, really??
It was a hugely important one for our whole family up here, as we don't all get married every day (most of us).

A lot of work and preparation went into this wedding. Mostly done by my amazing Mother in-law (who does NOT get married every day (but she could (she's that amazing))).

It was a wonderful day! Here are some of the pictures we took:

Oh, Tamera and Jadey, look at you guys all married and leaving on your honeymoon now.

Life is an ever changing and turning series of events. Fortunate events.

Air and I are just excited to not be the only marrieds in our family now! Less pressure?

.all is well

1. Our car is back and running like a dream.

2. Air has been feeling much better.

3. We just went through the temple with Tam for the first time.

4. We had a delicious Italian dinner at Chianti last night with friends.

5. Decorating for the reception today.

6. Wedding tomorrow!

Something mysterious happened to me at work on Monday... I got mystery shopped!

She seemed like a normal enough customer... who was also wanting to frame a diploma from "clown camp"? Yeah.

She liked me though, and that's the important thing.

When I came in to work the next day, all of the managers were elated and they came and told me I got the highest score that anyone has gotten in our entire region. They gave me two *star pins*, lots of high fives, a sign with my name on the wall, and I might get a $100 reward. Yeah.

They are all extremely glad I scored well because it reflects well on our whole store.

And I don't think I'll be losing my job anytime soon.

100%!!

I can't help but feel pretty proud of myself and just happy this week!
Finally, something positive from my evil boss! Yeah.

.sick & stranded

Our car is leaking oil like mad. Like, puddles of it. (see above puddle of oil in our garage)

We're not sure why or how much its gonna cost us to repair. But that’s why we had it towed to a shop.

We've been stranded at home since Thursday …THURSDAY!!

You know, usually staying home for four days straight would be terrible, but I’ve been sick with something. Sooo… It’s been ok (see snot rags below)

We ate fruits that start with “P” and started working on our taxes. Ugh. (I love canned fruit!)

But, you know what? THANK GOODNESS for awesome friends who offered to let us drive their car until Thursday.

What would we do without them??

Gosh, you never think that you’d actually be the one in need of charity, but when bad things happen it feels so nice to know that people are there to help you out.

They probably won’t see this, but THANK YOU Duane and Jenna! It means a lot.
