.Autumn time
We stayed at Air's parent's house this weekend with the kids while his parent's were out of town. We had a lovely time.... except for when Tiana got a compound fracture on her arm from falling off the long-board ...and except for when I had to go in to work for the entire bright and sunny Saturday.
We went for a Sunday evening drive through the countryside to look for some color… also, we were scoping out a spot to take Tam’s engagement pictures. We are so excited to have a wedding coming up in the family!!
***************************
Last night we had family home evening. It was warm so we made it a picnic at the park and got to see some more color!
Tiny Tiana Tim was sporting her new cast and the rest of us just LOVE volleyball!
We basically played all night.
Don't be jealous.
Happy Autumn friends! I love you all!

.A few things lately…
Air is in school again. We went to the University the day before classes started a few weeks ago to get some things done. It was a little weird to think that it’s all starting over again. You wouldn’t believe the crazy scheduling the two of us have been doing with one car! We have seminary, Air’s in school and working odd hours, and I’m working even odder odd hours!
We know that we’ve been very blessed though, because Air was able to get his classes all back to back this semester! Also, he has a free train/bus pass from the school, and the train station is really close to Michaels! Awesome!!
It’s been getting colder here, and it’s been raining a lot. Maybe these are the conditions that produced more slugs scooting around in our yard than I’ve ever seen! In my life! Awesome!!

On Saturday morning we finally had some free time before I went to work… So we took our three-year-old couch back to Ikea and traded it in!
Goodbye to our old couch! You served us well… sorta
We picked up this beaut:
We are loving it! *Plus* it has a few bells and whistles that make me giddy with excitement! :)
This slides out…
And it has this huge storage space! Awesome!!
What would we do without Ikea?
Also, what would we do without Air’s dad and his truck? Thanks so much for helping us out Papa Gusa! We love you!

.Labor Day laboring
All summer Air has been working with Allison—who happens to be a very fun and happy little girl. She loves hanging out with us, and begs us to let her watch Invader Zim episodes at our house every day. After we watched every single episode with her (and laughed our heads off) she wanted to watch them all over again—which is why she is sitting by the computer with headphones. haha! We loved this all summer and are going to miss having such an awesome schedule now that summer’s over.

As soon as Air got off work we went to Rundle Park with our family for a picnic/hot dog roast! We saw some early signs that autumn is coming. It was just a little chilly… but we got over it. We live in Canada after all.
And here is the cute recently *engaged* couple!! Jadey and Tam {Jadey may be a vampire (can’t be too sure tho)}:
I got Tiana to be my model for these sunset/reflection pictures:
Work it girl! Perfect! You’re beautiful!
We had an awesome time! Sorry that Tessa and Jadey aren’t feeling too well—this is the sickie time of year and I’m just grateful that we haven’t caught anything yet! My seminary students are all coughing up lungs though! YIKES!
Oh, one more thing:
I guess we like Toyota in our family since we are all driving them! We realized this as we were leaving and Air’s pop asked me to take a photo of the phenomenon! :)
Isn’t the sunset gorgeous!?? Pictures never do these things justice.

.bedtime stories
Hailey loves Air so much... you can tell by the way she just stares at him as he reads and laughs at everything he does. hehe

.Dollarama
We went to the dollar store to look for some journals to give our seminary students. We walked past some mouse traps and threw them in our pile of miscellaneous dollar store items (pens, extension cord, candy, spatula, notebooks... you know).

.Aurora Borealis
Do you see them!? Do you see the northern lights in the sky!?
If you're wondering what these are and if you want to see some better images, watch this little educational vid:
Sometimes (most of the time) I am very glad that I live in Canada. And also that I live in this beautiful world. Things like this remind me that anything is possible through our Father in Heaven.
Seminary starts again tomorrow morning! I am both excited and overwhelmed.
Fare thee well, summer!
Wish me luck, friends!
