.the works!

We saw our first fireworks show of the season last night with the family! It was pretty spectacular!

I am still so excited that it’s summer. I went on two walks with Air’s Momma and Tiana before the fireworks show last night it was so nice!

In other news:

1. At church today I got asked to go help out at Young Women’s camp again this year!! AHH! haha

2. We’re coming to Utah at the end of next month! Plus, Air’s family is coming along for the first week! We're hoping to get a deal at Lagoon. Anyone have coupons or their Stake Lagoon Day during the last week of July?

3. Seminary graduation was yesterday morning. It is so fun to see those kids as they graduate from high school and enter the real world as adults. Plus, I got officially released…

4. I just baked a cake! Want some?

You know how sometimes you wait a really really RIDICULOUSLY long time
for something good to happen,
all the while believing it will probably never actually happen,
and then out of nowhere it finally happens
and it just feels unreal?
And you don't know what to do with yourself?

These are my feelings as of late.

Air's definitely loving the job.
He's been so busy working away lately I hardly see him anymore!

We are blessed.

.Man Camp II

Air went on another week-long camp out for work. He is so sweet to take pictures for me to see everything they did—we really do miss each other so much when we’re not together…

Here are their tents. Air’s standing next to the one he and I bought a few summers ago and fully intended on using so many times before now. I hadn’t even seen it open before this picture! It’s pretty big!

They also enjoyed being in nature again… even though they got DEVOURED by mosquitoes.

.What Our Dreams are Made Of

At the beginning of this year Air and I set up an ultimatum for his job. He said that if he didn't get a promotion by the end of the year he would seek employment elsewhere. We've waited and waited and its been looking a little bleak. May flew by and June has come. Now the year is almost half way over.

So today Air decided to stop waiting and just get another job already.

What really happened today, is that Air's boss FINALLY GAVE HIM A PROMOTION!! And boy does he deserve it--Air is an awesome employee. To be honest, this is exactly what we've been waiting for 2 and a half years for!

Its the best news yet!

I was just barely talking to my friend Niki in Utah and telling her we were hoping Air would become a manager someday... little did I know that this would be the day!!

Gosh, I LOVE TODAY!!! We are definitely celebrating when Air gets home from work!

With Air feeling pretty sick again we've been thinking creatively about ways to find a diagnosis. We've done a few more tests and still found nothing. We're pretty sure the doctors are embarrassed that they can't help us much. So we've basically decided on going in a more naturopathic direction (and spending the $big bucks$). I suppose it will all be worth it if we end up getting him better! Right? We try not to think about it too much....instead we're focusing on a lot of positive things! And you know what? It really isn't too difficult to find those positive things once you look around…

To name a few:

I fancy these beautiful lilacs blooming up everywhere we look. They also remind me of my loving Mother—they're her favorite flower.

I got a surprise *free* pair of earrings in the mail from Darlybird! I emailed them a while ago when my pair came unglued and got lost. I wanted to buy new ones, but they weren't selling them anymore. Instead, new ones just showed up at my door! How often does that happen? What a great company!

Neighborhoods like this with great big trees all in a row. So lovely to drive down and see the branches reaching out to each other over the street like a giant archway above us.

Our old blender finally gave up the ghost (we make a lot of fruit smoothies) so we redeemed a really old gift cert to Bed Bath and Beyond for a Ninja! It makes 9 CUPS!! It’s been working like a dream so far!

On Saturday we spent some time at the Antique mall.…again. This time they were having a sale! So of course we’re gonna be there with our camera! Was there ever any question?
