On Christmas Eve morning we all went outside and shoveled as a family after a great big snow storm. We came inside and had hot chocolate and decorated our homemade gingerbread house from our friends. And then Air had to leave to work for the rest of the day at two o'clock… Poor guy.
Luckily for these kids the pajama elf brought them some Christmas jammies and we had a fun evening at home.
I tucked the kiddies in bed and Santa finally showed up!
Christmas morning:
We took videos of the present opening ceremony (these videos wouldn't be interesting to anyone but us haha)
This is the aftermath:
Poor Ames and Alice woke up on Christmas morning feeling pretty sick! That never happens so it was really sad, but they still plugged through having so much fun with their presents.
Here's the gingerbread house we made (and ate):
I have to just quickly show off all the many Christmas cards we received from so many beloved friends and family members this year. You people are amazing!:
The next day we had another Christmas with the family for our family gift exchange. I drew Air's Mom's name so I got her this sweater and I wore the same one that night as a surprise. haha Twinners!:
We got together with the family again the next day for lunch at Olive Garden! We love going there:
And for the rest of the week I kept the kids busy by going to the John Janzen nature center/indoor playground:
↓↓↓ Alice is impressive with her ability to paint within the lines//Ames wanted to "sleep like a cowboy" so he put his cowboy had over his face when he layed down. So funny ↓↓↓
We went sledding in the dark at Tam's house:
And the next day we went sledding in the light for New Years Eve:
Ames tested out his new monster footprint snowshoes:
