Remember Christmas? We had one. We had a really lovely one, in fact. We decorated every inch of our house and put up our tree at the beginning of November. We enjoy dragging out the season in our home, I think we all can use some extra Christmas joy during the long cold winter. Each year we find one new ornament for our tree. This year was a little fox to add to our forest theme.
We also had to replace all of our breakable glass balls with these vintage threaded ones, because Alice
And we didn’t put anything on the bottom third…
Air's Mom made us this amazing advent calendar with a gift for each day. It was so much fun.
We took the kids to see Santa at our ward Christmas party, like every year. Alice was not a fan! haha I live for these photos. Ames was so excited to talk to Santa. He told him that he wanted a moving dinosaur and a guitar for Christmas.
We went with the whole family to see the lights at Candy Cane Lane. But first we had dinner at Olive Garden. We were all so excited to have Tessa home from Hawaii for the week.
Christmas Eve pajama photos:
Ames was over-the-moon excited on Christmas Eve. He loved staying over night at Grandma's house, although he did tell us about his concerns that Santa wouldn’t find him there. haha
On Christmas morning Ames was sleeping in for so long we were confused… So finally around 9am Air went in to his room and Ames says, “Dad is that you? I can’t open my eyes”. Air laughed but then he turned on the light and saw that Ames's eyes were actually sealed shut with more eye goobers than he had ever seen! Poor little guy got pink eye on Christmas morning! I cleaned his eyes up and brought him down for the party and the rest of the day was great.
Here's our family's pile of gifts:
Ames got a moving dinosaur, a guitar, play dough, airplanes, etc.
Alice got some dolls, a dollhouse, toy bottles, a bus, a blankie, etc.
Air and I got another flash for our camera, a blender, a dust buster, a quilt, and a throw blanket.
Wow did we all get spoiled! Thanks Santa!
And thank you to Air's family for celebrating Christmas with us! It makes it so much more special to spend those days with family, playing games and talking. We love all the dance parties and all the amazing meals. Can't wait for next Christmas!
