For Alice, the biggest blessing of last weekend was her actual blessing. For the rest of us, the biggest blessing was the fact that my parents flew up to Canada to be with us for 3 days. This was their fourth time coming up to see us and it was sooooooooooo nice to have them here again! The weekend was only too short.
Their luggage was absolutely full of surprises for our babies. I’m not even sure they left space for themselves… they definitely know how to win Ames’s heart. He hasn’t stopped telling me: “I yuv Gwomma Yeawy!” (Leary)
They came along to our ward Christmas party too. We had so much fun taking Amesy and Alice to see Santa. Ames was beyond thrilled, but he got a little star struck when we got to Santa. haha
One of the surprises my Mom brought for Alice was some blessing dress options. Three, to be precise.
Option 1: my Mom made for Alice while I was in Utah last June. Gorgeous.
Option 2: A vintage one my Mom found in her old things. It’s adorable, but I’m not sure where it came from?
Option 3: The one I wore for my blessing! Also made by my Momma. So beautiful!
It was a difficult choice, but I couldn’t let Alice’s dress, made just for her, go unused. So here she is in her beautiful, long, eyelet and lace dress:
I had to snap a shot of handsome Ames in his new suit (from Aunt Tracey) before church too:
We were very lucky that Air made it to the church to bless Alice. It makes him very sick to ride in a car and he barely made it through. This was definitely a miracle. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. I am so glad it worked out.
Topped off with tons of food and tons of people in our house. THE BEST!
The babies and I dropped my parents off at the airport the next morning. Amesy cried on the way home. He wanted to go with them. I wanted to too.
We love you Mom and Dad! Thank you for making the trip!

I think Cecelia made the crocheted dress for you when you were born.
