We had a fantastic wedding weekend away.
We drove down to Cardston (7 hrs) on Friday morning with Josh and Tessa and we got there before anyone else so we spent a few hours wandering up and down the cute main street going to little shops. It was so much fun.
I so, totally and completely enjoyed seeing the mountains again. I miss them so much in Edmonton…
Everyone else finally arrived at the hotel and we got to spend the rest of the evening in the temple for Tara.
Can I just tell you, the Cardston Temple is probably one of the most beautiful and has the most fantastically stylized design I have ever seen (the style is comparable to my favorite architect/designer, Frank Lloyd Wright). I wish I could go to that temple every time. Why must it be so far away…
and here is our fancy-dancy hotel room:
Probably the best part of the whole trip was the fact that our entire family, including cousins/aunts/uncles were all staying here in the same hotel. We had so much fun hanging out with everyone there.
The next morning we arrived back at the temple for the ceremony. It was an incredible experience.
And then we waited outside…
The happy couple came out shining!
We took lots of photos at the temple (I will be sharing some in a later post).
We had a delicious luncheon there in Cardston and then everyone headed back up north to Rocky Mountain House for the reception—a five hour drive! Needless to say, it was a very tight schedule.
But the reception was amazing
We drove the entire 2 1/2 hours home that night around midnight after take-down… and spent the whole next day in a state of rest from so much excitement.
More, BETTER pictures are on their way!

I love the mountains! Glad the wedding weekend went well, things looked great!
It makes the 5 mintues it takes me to get to the temple seem ridiculously easy!
