.second month

20141228 alice two months (20) edit

Can you even believe how much Alice has grown in the last month? I cannot. At her immunizations the other day she weighed in at 12 lbs and is in the 75th percentile for height and 80th for weight. She definitely seems like a big sturdy girl. I think she’s got her daddy’s jeans like Ames.

Our poor sweet baby has been very sick for the majority of this month. Alice, Air and Ames have all had really bad colds (somehow I have escaped all illness woohoo!). She had conjunctivitis in her left eye for a while there… for which I was applying antibiotics all day, every day for a week. That darn eye still seems a little droopy though, even now that the infection seems to have cleared up.

Oh and she had the WORST cough I’ve ever heard come from someone so small. I ended up taking her to emergency a few days before Christmas to make sure she was alright. They did an x-ray (she hated that), and said she didn’t have pneumonia or anything so it would go away on its own. Today the cold remains, but the cough isn’t so bad anymore, thank goodness.

**WARNING** Here is a terrible photo of the conjunctivitis:

Our little photo shoot this month was a breeze! She wouldn’t stop smiling and cooing for me and I got some perfect pictures right off the bat. Only problem now is choosing just one to post… so I didn’t choose. Haha

Here are the rest:

Amesy couldn’t resist giving her kisses for being so cute either. He really loves his “baby Owice”… I love it!

I don’t have much time to write tonight, it’s been a whirlwind week around here!
I am just so excited to say MERRY CHRISTMAS from Aaron, me and the children. Here are some photos representing the last month of holiday anticipation at our home.

Enjoy!?

.blessing weekend

20141207 Alice blessing day (19) edit1

For Alice, the biggest blessing of last weekend was her actual blessing. For the rest of us, the biggest blessing was the fact that my parents flew up to Canada to be with us for 3 days. This was their fourth time coming up to see us and it was sooooooooooo nice to have them here again! The weekend was only too short.

Their luggage was absolutely full of surprises for our babies. I’m not even sure they left space for themselves… they definitely know how to win Ames’s heart. He hasn’t stopped telling me: “I yuv Gwomma Yeawy!” (Leary)

They came along to our ward Christmas party too. We had so much fun taking Amesy and Alice to see Santa. Ames was beyond thrilled, but he got a little star struck when we got to Santa. haha

One of the surprises my Mom brought for Alice was some blessing dress options. Three, to be precise.

Option 1: my Mom made for Alice while I was in Utah last June. Gorgeous.

Option 2: A vintage one my Mom found in her old things. It’s adorable, but I’m not sure where it came from?

Option 3: The one I wore for my blessing! Also made by my Momma. So beautiful!

It was a difficult choice, but I couldn’t let Alice’s dress, made just for her, go unused. So here she is in her beautiful, long, eyelet and lace dress:

I had to snap a shot of handsome Ames in his new suit (from Aunt Tracey) before church too:

We were very lucky that Air made it to the church to bless Alice. It makes him very sick to ride in a car and he barely made it through. This was definitely a miracle. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. I am so glad it worked out.

Topped off with tons of food and tons of people in our house. THE BEST!

The babies and I dropped my parents off at the airport the next morning. Amesy cried on the way home. He wanted to go with them. I wanted to too.

We love you Mom and Dad! Thank you for making the trip!
