.June 2017 part 1

20170602 Ames and friends (14)

Finally summer! June was a fun month for us so I'm gonna have to split this into two posts.

First off, here is Ames with three of his best buddies (Rhys, Jack and Lachlan) at our house for a "play-date". These little guys are so awesome together and they get completely lost in their imaginations together for hours on end. And Alice trying to play with them and just repeatedly telling me she wants some girls to come play with her. lol

Air is the best Daddy and loves to brush Alice's hair while telling her stories to keep her happy.

One of our favorite things to do on those unbearably hot summer days. These two have no shame Winking smile

The kids and I found a park nearby called Andy's park one day with a big zipline!

Here is our first trip of MANY to Fort Edmonton Park this summer. We had passes so we were there every chance we got! This place is literally the best place to go for a day in our city!

For this visit we just jumped on the steam train at the entrance and went straight to the actual fort part of the park to see where people first settled here in Edmonton a long long time ago…

This place is so amazing and fun to explore. It's fun to think about what it would be like to live here back in the day.

We jumped back on the train just before the park closed for the day. We only explored a tiny portion of the park on this day, but boy was it awesome.

Then we somehow had enough energy to go to a park downtown.

We had hot dogs and s'mores for FHE when we got home. Fun day!

.All of it, November

20161108 swimming (4)

Well, wow. Looks like not much happened in November around here? Makes sense tho, seeings how that was Air's first month back to work full-time in two years. We had a lot of adjusting to do.

We got some awesome 1-year passes for all Edmonton rec centers and attractions (because of said disability insurance) so we have definitely been making use of those! We love swimming at the pools and going to the indoor playgrounds ↓↓↓

↓↓↓ Alice continues her habit of falling asleep while eating dinner.

↓↓↓My children are most adorable in their church clothes//Ames walked directly into some wood sticking out of a shelf at Lowes and fell on his back on the cement floor…I get the feeling that we are lucky his injuries weren't worse than a little scratch on his cheek ↓↓↓

↓↓↓ I invited all my friends over for girls night when the new season of Gilmore Girls came out on Netflix. I was so excited that there were actually quite a few fans of the show! Also they brought the best snacks in honor of Rory and Lorelei. I need to do this more often!

↓↓↓ Ames gave his first talk in primary and did awesome! We were so shocked and impressed that he actually went through with it

↓↓↓ And one more video of Alice sleeping at dinner to call it even

Ok, so the honest BEST part of the entire month of November 2016 was the weekend trip that we made to Calgary to make our children Citizens of the United States of America at the embassy there!!! I am so happy to be a dual-citizen, and even happier to know that my children are dual-citizens of these two great countries too.

I didn't get a photo at the embassy (duh me), but we went to see Santa at the big mall there afterwards ↓↓↓

Then we stayed with our friends, the Harkers, that night and seriously just partied all night with those guys.

And that pretty much sums up that month!
