I knew that Air bear deserved a great Father’s Day after the year he’s had (particularly the last month since surgery). He’s really such a wonderful Daddy and hubby… He pushes himself to do things for our family even though he’s sick. He takes care of all of us. Honestly, it’s been like a dream to have him around every day while he’s on disability. We will all miss him so much when his health improves and he goes back to work some time… but also it will be a dream to see him feeling well for once.
Anyway, we love the Daddy of this little family more than we can say. Luckily these candy bars on a poster could say it all for us :
It was so fun to surprise Air with a few little gifts and it was especially hilarious to hear Ames trying so hard not to spill the beans ahead of time. He was so excited!
And, of course, Air even cooks us a mean BBQ on his own Father’s Day. This man is amazing I tell you.
Yes Ames is wearing a towel as a cape… what an awesome kid.

At eight months Alice is a happy little angel. Seriously just so happy to be here. She still thrives on love and attention and will give back just as much love as you give to her. She has five teeth and eats more solids thank goodness! She is still a pretty quiet baby but likes to just yell “Ah!” at you like she is saying Hi. Oh and wow does she like to wave and clap!
I apologize again for the amount of photos I’m posting here… I really can’t help it if Alice is so photogenic!
She’s growing at a hyper accelerated rate just like Ames did, she’s already growing out of 12 month clothes.
This month Alice has had a ton of fun outside. She love love loves to splash in pools. Good thing she likes it because she always gets water dumped on her head by her crazy brother…
She loves splashing in the bath too.
She scoots and mostly rolls all over the living room. Often finding herself neck deep under the couches.
She still has the most amazingly luxurious little leggies.
She sleeps in her own room now too, which has this little embroidery I made hanging on the wall just for her.
Chubba lova is gaining chubbiness at a very nice rate these days. Really nice.
We all just love this baby gal so much. We love to make her smile and giggle.
Aside from being held and carried around all day, Alice’s favorite thing is sitting beside me with her little bucket of toys. She takes them all out and tastes each thing then puts the bucket on her head. She is also in love with dancing, although she hasn’t done it by herself yet. She doesn't really like eating solids at all yet—bananas a little I guess. She chants “buh buh buh” and once in a while you’ll hear other sounds like “ma”. Mostly she is a pretty quiet little thing, unless she’s hungry… YIKES! Girl can scream! She gurgles/sighs pretty loudly too when she’s tired and falling asleep—it’s hilarious.
I took this photo on one of Alice’s last nights sleeping in her bassinet in our room. Now she sleeps in her own room in her own crib. I’m still getting used to that.
And this is just a shot of Alice entertaining herself while we worked on renovating the downstairs bathroom. She is a total babe.
Also, I want to talk about Ames!
He likes getting monthly photos taken when Alice does too… and this is the way he chooses to smile these days…………. ? haha
Ames is becoming such a big kid. He’s always got some new “owie” lately (usually on his legs) from just running around like a crazy head. He talks non-stop all day long… which is good in a way. He is an excellent communicator and even tells on himself every time he’s done something bad just because he wants to tell someone about it. He doesn’t like to be alone and will just follow me around every minute of the day. He is the most loving child, he cuddles us and tells us how beautiful or handsome we are regularly.
I can’t believe he will be THREE in just two short months…
Hey guys remember me? Well I’m back for another phone dump. Things have been crazy over here with tons of renovations going on at once (baseboards, basement bathroom…), then Aaron’s surgery a couple weeks ago, and basically being a mother of three since then! Things are ok though thankfully… We’re happy and playful as usual.

↓↓↓I don’t remember where we were going on this day, but it’s my favorite thing to go on little outings as a family (doesn’t happen often!)//We love having fire pit evenings at Tam’s house with the family. Must be summer↓↓↓
↓↓↓I made a breakfast smoothie and tried to sneak some green beans in it. Air noticed immediately and refused to drink any. Fail//Ames’s photography skills crack me up↓↓↓
↓↓↓This man train is going no where//Ames likes to pretend he’s spider man at stores by finding things to climb on. We go to home hardware stores the most these days↓↓↓
↓↓↓My cute boys like to make nests around the house and cuddle up//We had a huge snowstorm at the beginning of May. It was nuts. Only a week later and that tree was white again with blossoms though.↓↓↓
↓↓↓We love going to the Stake family carnival every year. This year Aaron’s family joined me there since I was alone with the kids. It was so much fun//Ames wanted to be a blue and pink tiger, but he got orange like all the other kids↓↓↓
↓↓↓On May 15th Air went in to the Misericordia hospital for a hemorrhoidectomy—in hopes of stopping his constant blood loss and anemia. We all prayed really hard for him and his surgeons, and we were very blessed by the news that it went very well. He stayed at the hospital for just one night, but has a long recovery period ahead. 6 to 8 weeks is what they say. We’ve had a few ER runs since then and he’s had a lot of pain… but it’s getting better every day.//These are the before and after shots↓↓↓
↓↓↓Of all the places he could sit, Ames sat right on that pink heart three times. He seems to never learn these days//Doesn’t my new apron look s’cute with these duck lips? I sent this photo to Air while he was overnight at the hospital just to show him the apron I bought. haha↓↓↓
↓↓↓Air home from the hospital. He mostly just lays around, can’t sit up too well and can’t lift over 10 lbs. Poor guy//I took the kids to their cousin Jake’s first birthday party. It was so much fun. Jake is the cutest little 1 year old we know↓↓↓
↓↓↓Ames is loving his big boy bed now and sometimes sleeps with his feet on the floor, just so he can feel the new freedom he’s got without breaking the rules too much//I’ve been trying to get out of the house with the babies a little every day so Air can have some peace. We went to the mall on Saturday and Ames loved the waterfall and made friends with all the children in the food court↓↓↓
↓↓↓The weekend after Air’s surgery I came down with a terrible fever and cold. It was the worst timing ever. We were so grateful that Grandma and Grandpa took Ames to stay with them for four days! This is the longest we’ve been away from him, but seriously it was so great since Air and I were both so sick that weekend and spent one of the nights in ER anyway//I went and picked Ames up on Tuesday and he didn’t even want to come home, so I stayed and played in the pool with him for a while. I was fully dressed tho ↓↓↓
