posting this much much later
than the time Alice actually
turned 18 months, but lets see how much I can
remember about Alice at this adorable
time of her life... ♥Alice loves to read books and sing
songs. Especially songs with actions. ♥She’s
obsessed with the combo of her binkie, her baby doll, and her
blankie and has no trouble whatsoever
taking naps or going to bed as long as they are all present
and accounted for. ♥She runs so funny without
bending her knees (still not so sure when she'll grow out of
that?). ♥She is in love with shoes and socks…
she begs to have them so she can put them on and take them off
repeatedly throughout the day. ♥She thinks
it’s the funniest thing in the world when she puts a bucket on
her head and acts silly. We all agree it is. ♥She
spends much of her time quietly rummaging through buckets of
toys and entertaining herself, always
busy. ♥She is always blabbing on about who knows what. We
can’t wait til she can talk with real words!
♥She is pretty stranger-shy, but definitely prefers women?
♥She loves her big brother and wants to
be doing whatever he is doing all the time. ♥Her skin is soft
and plump and pink to perfection.
I squeeze and kiss her all day long. ♥She loves to repeat the
last sound of your
sentence back to you. ♥She can actually sing really well and
harmonizes with me. ♥She is adorable and
perfect and she lightens
our life!
Can you tell I had way too many photos to choose from after this photo shoot?
Here she is with her favorite binki/baby/blankie combo:
Busy busy busy:
This last photo just makes me giggle… these two are always rummaging through toys and making a huge mess in this tiny space we call the “toy area”. Adorable and hilarious:
We were all feeling like superheroes in June after we had gone 4 months without an income thanks to some mix-ups with the insurance company. Honestly this was a very stressful time in our lives and I wasn't feeling too superhero-ey at the time. Mostly just insecure. Aaron was still pretty sick and we just needed to know whether or not we would be continuing with disability insurance, but we couldn't get a hold of that FREAKING case manager. It was like living in limbo…
But we managed to stay positive and hopeful. We really just had to hand it over to the Lord, trust that things would be ok, and we spent a whole lot of time on our knees through these months.
It's hard to not be filled with love and joy with these two cuties climbing all over you all day though.
And now here's the important stuff from June:
↓↓↓One day we had a surprise visit from Air's parents and they brought over this awesome little bouncy house to borrow. It has been so awesome to have. It even fits into our basement for rainy days and winter!//Air and Ames camped out in the back yard…both were in heaven↓↓↓
↓↓↓We had some summer fun at Tam and Jadey's house launching water balloons and playing in another new blow up toy from Grandma! Soooo much fun!
↓↓↓More water fun at Tam's//Reeeeeeeally enjoying eating ice cream cones at Grandma's house. I made it into a meme because I'm hilarious?↓↓↓
↓↓↓I have always been in love with coloring…and hey, it's finally socially acceptable for adults to color too! It's actually really good therapy.
↓↓↓We had such a good time at the ward campout this year. So glad we were able to go! Ames and his friend Lachlan are only one month apart, so this photo should give you an idea of how much bigger Ames is than most kids his age! He's growing so fast—definitely a Gusa.
↓↓↓Boy do we love canoeing as a family… it was only a little freaky when Alice would start trying to walk around in the canoe and the whole thing would rock like crazy and we were all yelling "ALICE SIT DOWN!!" hahaha
↓↓↓Air was sick on Father's Day so this is the only photo I got from the day… the ward gift that I brought home for him from church//Alice is in love with nursery… as long as I am in there with her…↓↓↓
↓↓↓This photo marks the first in the series #gusasafterchurch… stay tuned for many more after-church photos of these two. Kinda fun to see them growing in their cute Sunday clothes
↓↓↓And we finished off June on a high note when Tessa came to town for the summer from BYU Hawaii! Golly we miss that girl!
And some videos for you, sir:
↓↓↓This video was awesome in slow motion, but for some reason it's in normal motion on my computer... oh well, still awesome.
↓↓↓A rare day where Daddy was feeling well enough to come to the park with us.
↓↓↓I hate to say it, but Ames has become a gamer at the age of 4... I don't love it, but it sure is cute to see his little fingers working that controller.
↓↓↓I'm lame, but Yo Gabba Gabba is my favorite kids show. This part of the Gooble episode makes me laugh every time.
