20141215 christmas pictures (61) edit5

I don’t have much time to write tonight, it’s been a whirlwind week around here!
I am just so excited to say MERRY CHRISTMAS from Aaron, me and the children. Here are some photos representing the last month of holiday anticipation at our home.

Enjoy!?

.blessing weekend

20141207 Alice blessing day (19) edit1

For Alice, the biggest blessing of last weekend was her actual blessing. For the rest of us, the biggest blessing was the fact that my parents flew up to Canada to be with us for 3 days. This was their fourth time coming up to see us and it was sooooooooooo nice to have them here again! The weekend was only too short.

Their luggage was absolutely full of surprises for our babies. I’m not even sure they left space for themselves… they definitely know how to win Ames’s heart. He hasn’t stopped telling me: “I yuv Gwomma Yeawy!” (Leary)

They came along to our ward Christmas party too. We had so much fun taking Amesy and Alice to see Santa. Ames was beyond thrilled, but he got a little star struck when we got to Santa. haha

One of the surprises my Mom brought for Alice was some blessing dress options. Three, to be precise.

Option 1: my Mom made for Alice while I was in Utah last June. Gorgeous.

Option 2: A vintage one my Mom found in her old things. It’s adorable, but I’m not sure where it came from?

Option 3: The one I wore for my blessing! Also made by my Momma. So beautiful!

It was a difficult choice, but I couldn’t let Alice’s dress, made just for her, go unused. So here she is in her beautiful, long, eyelet and lace dress:

I had to snap a shot of handsome Ames in his new suit (from Aunt Tracey) before church too:

We were very lucky that Air made it to the church to bless Alice. It makes him very sick to ride in a car and he barely made it through. This was definitely a miracle. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful blessing. I am so glad it worked out.

Topped off with tons of food and tons of people in our house. THE BEST!

The babies and I dropped my parents off at the airport the next morning. Amesy cried on the way home. He wanted to go with them. I wanted to too.

We love you Mom and Dad! Thank you for making the trip!

.first month

Alice turned one month old almost one month ago. haha How am I gonna keep this blog up I wonder? These three two babies are really keeping me busy!

You know, I really can't/shouldn't complain though because I honestly haven't truly experienced the stay-at-home mother of two thing yet—with Aaron around all the time, it's been more like stay-at-home parents. He has been amazing at feeding Ames breakfast in the morning and making us dinners. I have felt pretty lucky to have him around even though it would be nice if he were able to go. Positive side to the negative, right.

This is Ames’s favorite spot when I’m feeding Alice:

Since Alice was born (I think?) she has had this one droopy eyelid thing going on in her left eye. We still don't know what it is, but last week it suddenly was completely red and goopy and way swollen. I took her to the dr and they said it was conjunctivitis. She has taken the antibiotics now though and the eye remains droopy… What could this be??:

Ok, don’t let me keep you. Enjoy these shots of Alice on her one month day:
