February was a big month this year, so it gets it’s own post. I’ll start out with Valentines Day... We had a really good one. I wanted to duplicate our photo shoot from last year.. I can't believe how much these two have changed in one year. ↓↓↓
Air made some amazing huge pink rolls ↓↓↓
We had too much fun making valentines ↓↓↓
Air’s valentine for me was soooo overly romantic right?
↓↓↓Valentines from my Momma in Utah!//Valentines for Ames’s primary teachers ↓↓↓
We went to dinner with the family at Red Robin. I love seeing these cute little cousins together ↓↓↓
And Air made a delicious purple velvet cake to top of a wonderful day ↓↓↓
↓↓↓These kids get to have daddy night once a week while I go to Young Women’s activities. I never hear them complain about that//Our first walk to the park after a cold winter. It was so heavenly to enjoy being outdoors again! ↓↓↓
↓↓↓Sometimes you just get too tired to stand so dad makes you a little resting place in the corner of the kitchen//Air took a pic of himself waking up in the morning and used #allthefilters↓↓↓
We had a new indoor playground open up close to our house and we couldn’t wait to go. We went with some ladies and kids from our ward, and this cute little girl loooved baby Alice and wanted to carry her around everywhere… Gosh, it made me so nervous! Babies really shouldn’t be able to hold babies ahh! haha ↓↓↓
We did an engagement photo shoot for Air’s cousin’s daughter and did our usual location scouting trip as a family ↓↓↓
At Hawrelak Park we found this cool little warming hut and hung out in there for a while ↓↓↓
Then some dude came and started taking pictures of us from outside… haha! We thought it was a little strange then he came into the hut and introduced himself as a photographer for the Edmonton Journal and asked if we minded him posting our photo and putting our names on it. The next day this photo showed up on the Edmonton Journal’s feed. So cool! ↓↓↓
↓↓↓One more of many “bread-scapades” that Air has gone on this year. We are very lucky to have a daddy like him around here//A random photo Air took of me with my babies—capturing Alice’s goofy alter-ego we like to call “bucket head” ↓↓↓
One night Air and I decided that we would go on a mini vacation to the mountains in Canmore for my birthday, and we left the next morning. It was so awesome to do something sporadic for once, and we were so lucky to get free hotel rooms with points we’ve been saving up. It had been such a looong time since we had gone anywhere because of Air’s illness. He gets sick riding in cars or walking or anything really, but he was so awesome to go on this trip with us and endure! There was a lot of driving involved ↓↓↓
When I became a citizen recently I got a free 1 year pass to certain museums and things around the country… The one I was most excited about was the science museum in Calgary, but it’s three hours away from us! So of course we stopped there on our way to Canmore and Air slept in the car while the kids and I played and played for hours. This made our trip so over the top awesome! ↓↓↓
We arrived at our hotel room late at night and put the kids right to sleep, the next morning I opened up the curtains and saw the most glorious view of the mountains I’ve seen in forever. OH how I miss living near the mountains! ↓↓↓
I knew that this was going to be my best birthday ever. We started the day off right with the best hotel breakfast I’ve had ↓↓↓
Then we did some swimming in the hotel pool ↓↓↓
Both our kids got brave and went down the big slide… and immediately regretted it. ↓↓↓
We drove over to Canmore’s main street and had so much fun checking out some of the little shops there… poor Air was hurting pretty bad by this time so we didn’t last too long doing this activity ↓↓↓
And then we started driving again. Toward Banff and Lake Louise. I snapped this photo from the car… I thought these mountains looked like a stegosaurus’s scales ↓↓↓
We made it all the way to beautiful Lake Louise for just a short visit before we had to head back to Canmore for dinner ↓↓↓
(Side note *I’m just adding this for my own memory* Air was not doing well that night in our hotel room. He had a crazy fever spike and was talking crazy, but luckily the hotel was next door to a grocery store so I took Alice and walked over there late at night to pick up some medicine for him and some groceries for us. Fun times!)
The next morning we were scheduled for departure… but not before we ran back to the hotel pool for some more fun ↓↓↓
Ames was getting more and more comfortable in the water which is great for such a scaredy kid ↓↓↓
Our kiddos were pooped too ↓↓↓
And as we drove through Calgary I begged Air to drop us off at the Science museum one more time. He agreed to sleep in the car while we went and played for hours again… for FREE!
These two were so cute dancing on the stage ↓↓↓
The next day I got an official birthday party with the family and cake and gifts from both sets of parents. LUCKY ME, RIGHT!?
